The mission of the Burnet Middle School Counseling Department is to implement a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program promoting student success through a focus on academic achievement, prevention and intervention activities, advocacy, and social/emotional and career development.
Allison Langford
6th Grade Counselor
Ms. Allison Langford is a first year counselor with experience working in schools. She attended Tarleton State University and attained her Bachelor's in Psychology and later, her Master's of Social Work. She passed her LMSW exam in May of 2023 and began working in Grand Prairie as a School Social Worker. Her passion for working with students has carried on, and now she lives outside of Austin and working here at Burnet! She is excited to start her journey as a school counselor with the 6th grade Burnet Sailors.
In her spare time, she loves to read and travel (when possible).
Eloy Paredes
7th Grade Counselor
Mr. Eloy Paredes is the 7th grade counselors this year. He followed his student from 6th grade and is enjoying his second year at Burnet. This is his 10th year as a school counselor and he is excited to continue working with the students he got to know last year and the ones he will meet this year.
In his spare time, he is known to enjoy jigsaw puzzles.
Kendra Bailey
8th Grade Counselor
Ms. Kendra Bailey is Native Texan born and raised in McKinney, TX. She earned her undergraduate degree from Langston University and continued her Education at the University of Oklahoma where she received her Master of Social Work. Kendra has passionately worked with children and their families in a therapeutic and counseling role. She is excited to be a part of the counseling team at Burnet Middle School and is looking forward to supporting the Burnet Community.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and shopping. She enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling and experiencing new things.
